eclombardo Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Hi, I posted this earlier in the week but had no response. I'm REALLY hoping someone can guide me. Ok, I understand a lot of people are having or have had this problem. Customers are registering, they order, they pay via paypal and probably are not following through to click back to the store. So I'm getting payments but i don't know what they ordered since OSC isn't logging the order. I'm a newbie, all these contributions are confusing. I need to know exactly how to get the order generated in OSC if the person doesn't click back to go back to the store. I would also love to know how to put the order info in paypal as well - so it's a two part fix. Can anyone please help me and give me explicit instructions? I'm sorry, I'm not a programmer, so it's been difficult to decipher all these different contributions. I'm using the latest OSC. I'm doing this for a friend and am not getting paid, but he's getting frustrated that he's getting payments and has no idea what the person has ordered, so I really need to have invoices (orders) generated in OSC so I can keep track with him. Thanks!! Elaine Lombardo
web-project Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 you need to use the PayPal IPN contribution. you need to edit the db to recover your order. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
satish Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Paypal_standard is a Paypal IPn version that I do recomend. In the paypal version You are using order populates on customer return to the site from paypal. with autoreturn setting or return url being wrong. Or for some other reason if customer do not return then this will happen. Also anyone aware that You are using the simple paypal version can hack thru.
