zonetown Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 I been working on this site, which is my second project using osCommerce. I have never really used PHP as extensive as I am now and everyday I am learning something new of how the framework is and a better understanding of php and allowing me to make the site a little more unique. Even though the website is generally based on osCommerce stock. Alot of changes have been made (internally & externally) and more will be made to achieve the final look of ZoneTOWN. You can see the shop at http://www.zonetown.com This is not at all finished and have 4 demo products similar to what we'll be selling. This site is being made in conjuction with a local store called Crazy Gear. Call it a partnership, ZoneTOWN & Crazy Gear. Anyways, it would be helpful for some of your suggestions and concerns to help me make my shop a better one. You may want to check out my first shop I built with osCommerce. http://www.myphrase.com This one is for a Baltimore company called Web Marketing Firm, LLC. This site still needs a few modification, though. P.S. Please do not register or make reviews at these shops. Just visit them. Thank You, Joe
Guest Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 The shop http://www.zonetown.com/ looks very nice but in a 800 x 600 resolution the right column is pass your header and footer. Regards
zonetown Posted December 16, 2002 Author Posted December 16, 2002 thank you, I will look into that....
blueline Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 Very nice. I am impressed. I really like the fact that, while using the osC backbone to power the site, your cosmetics resemble nothing of osC. Nice to see a change. -Chris Chris Sullivan
zonetown Posted December 17, 2002 Author Posted December 17, 2002 thanks for the comment. Even though it has some uniqness, it still has a little OSC layout. I am planning on redesigning this soon. I can not at the moment as I am still learning PHP. One I get this down and know how to minipulate the framework, It won't even resemble OSC layout. I hope to start this change in a month or two. I have to say, I know my HTML, just not PHP. Thanks.
Guest Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 It looks pretty good, however the tabs in the store detract from the rest of the setup. There should something simpler there to match the rest of the site.
zonetown Posted December 17, 2002 Author Posted December 17, 2002 you have a point there, I am gonna add it to my list of to do. I'll make the buttons flat and find some dingbats. thanks
