KevEsp91 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 I am running osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC2 and am using the USPS module available on the store to determine shipping rates. I registered for an account on USPS and my account is up and running but when I did a test run to make sure the correct rates show up, the cart shows an error retrieving the rates. Please help!! It sounds like your USPS account is in test mode which always results in an error because the USPS test server produces a hard coded reply rather than responding correctly to your query. Send an email to USPS and request that your account be switched to the live server. Make sure you tell them you are running osCommerce with the built in USPS module, otherwise they will complain that they have seen any successful exchange on your account. They told me to ask and see how the cart is coded or set up. One thing is for sure, I have the module installed and I have a registered and active account with USPS and I have entered the correct userID and password. Quote

I take it you have also changed the "Which Server to Use" parameter to production... What error message do you get when the rates are retrieved from USPS server? Ben Quote

I already set up an account with them, and I have put the user name and password in the shipping module in the admin part, it is configured in the testing server, but when it comes to ask the user about the shipping method, the only one available is "Best Way," and the USPS says that en error occurred with the USPS shipping calculations.
