Help please! - Error message 1054

I installed OSCommerce a couple years ago, along with a couple contributions. Everything has been working more or less correctly, but my hosting company just upgraded platforms and OSCommerce went down. I'm guessing they didn't correctly transfer all files or the database. I now get the following error message when I try to view the product listing page (after the product categories page).

 

1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'

you'll probably need to reinstall your most recent backup of mysql as its not complete.

 

i've had this error several times and I think this nearly always solves it.

This is a problem with MySQL 5, ithink there's a bugfix in this forum.

Problem:


MySQL 5.0 introduces Server SQL modes as part of its SQL 2003 standards support, and uses a more stricter approach to executing SQL queries. This is performed by default with setting STRICT_TRANS_TABLES as a Server SQL mode.



Due to this new setting, MySQL fails on certain SQL queries and produces error messages on the screen.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

 

My code is significantly different from the "from" code listed above. This leads me to think that either A) I'm running an older version of OSCommerce or B) One of my user contribution add-ons or my own customizations have changed the code significantly.

 

I thought I was running the latest version (2.2) of OSCommerce, but this would mean that the latest version of OSCommerce is not compatible with MySQL 5.0. This can't be correct right?

As far as I know the stock ms2,2 with updates 060817 only needed the above changes for mysql5. The changes above were taken from the update prior to 060817.
