Guest Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I have moved from storesprite back to oscommerce because storesprite can't handle coupons. I love oscommerce but am finding configuring the layout quite hard. The things I would like to do but don't have the knowledge are: - change the width of the left column. Where does this get defined? - change the background colours of the categories boxes (not the box heading background) including sub-categories? - Remove category pictures but keep them for sub-categories? - Move the search facility up to a bar under the logo? - Move the 'My account', 'My Basket' etc up on top of the logo and replace with images? - Move the Information box contents down into the header as a list? - Add images with links to categories to the top of the main section? I have had a good read of the manual but can't find enough detail to help with these. The site is www.tartanmarine.co.uk Also can anyone tell me is basic terms how the html is put together for oscommerce. Any help much appreciated as this is driving me mad!!!!

Guest Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Ok so now I have found the Tutorials. I have sorted the left column width I have changed the stylesheet but neither the box border or contents background has changed even though I have changed, saved and uploaded?!?! Otherwise I can't find enough info on the others. I have searched but not found what I need. The manual talks about moving the search box around but doesn't say how to move up to the header. Any ideas? I used the basic design pack which is great and have tried to play with header.php to get @my account' on top of the header image but again without success? What is the STS contrib (I note that you can't search in the contrib section!)?
