I am hoping someone can help. As soon as someone logs in and tries to checkout this error message comes up.

1054 - Unknown column 's.public_flag' in 'where clause'

select count(*) as total from orders o, orders_status s where o.customers_id = '72' and o.orders_status = s.orders_status_id and s.language_id = '1' and s.public_flag = '1'

[TEP STOP]

Thanks Jamie

never hear about the public_flag column in orders_status table of standard oscommerce, you probably forgot to update the database when installed one of contributions.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

I updated it right from my hosting companies website. I have not put any contributions in since I first launched it which has probably been a year - year and a half now and had no problems.

Can anyone suggest what I do next. I really need to fix this. Because right now it is useless and I have pissed off customers.

Thanks

Jamie

Looks like this "fix" is batting 500:

Click me

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
