uploading images to website

Recommended Posts

I am trying to upload images to our website and keep receiving the following:

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/.pescame/tandl/wholesale.timiandleslie.com/admin/categories.php on line 594

What do I do?

Help would be much appreciated. Thank you, Sarah

do a search on 'open_basedir' on tghe forums. It's a php setting that limits what you can access.

Okay... this might come as a shock... ehm...

You are on the forum right now. :D

Sorry, could not resist...

There is a search button in the right upper corner of the screen.

Push that and you can search the forum...

Oh and you can also have a look at

My website as in PHP.net?

I wouldn't mind having that but I am afraid it's not mine :D

PHP is the language osCommerce is written in. The error you get is because the settings of PHP restrict where it can do what. (It's only allowed to look in certain folders).

Contact your ISP (internet service provider / hosting company)

they'll know what to do.

HTH (hope this helps)

Your welcome.

I assume you allready know of the existence of www.oscdox.com ?

They have a nice installation / customization guide.

Another good source are the FAQs (frequently asked questions):
