New Product images not showing

I seem to be having problems with our clients oscommerce...

 

Whenever they ad a new product and adds a picture or image, the image is upload but the image isn't showing.

 

The problem is the attributes of the uploaded image. its assigned as 0600.

 

Can anyone tell me where to edit the script that would allow me to change the attribute to 0644 so the image would show.
