Image display from atributes drop-down

The end result must be something like:

- A liquid product is selected from the catalog.

 

- On the product_info.php page, a multitude of bottles can be chosen from a drop-down list to house the liquid. This must entail the user being able to view and select from dozens of different bottles of varying volumes.

 

- Upon selection, the 'add to cart' button will appear and the price of the bottle and the price of the volume of the liquid that the bottle holds will appear in the cart after submitting to the shopping cart.

 

I see the potential with attributes, though:

 

- how do I handle the showing an image of an attribute upon selection?

 

- how do I handle the volume of the bottle to get multiplied by the price of the liquid in the cart?

 

Any help is greatly appreciated! I could also ask my employer if they would pay a fee for a solution, as time is of the essence!
