Hello

I am managing a catalogue for fashion items. These items always come in seasons. Effectively this means when the catalogue is edited, the intention is for all new items to replace old items.

What I'd like to do is have the following structure on my site, and simply set one of the categories to be the new root.

Top
-- Autumn Winter 06
-- -- items
-- -- items
-- -- items
-- Spring Summer 07
-- -- items
-- -- items
-- -- items
-- Autumn Winter 07
-- -- items
-- -- items
-- -- items

Then I'd like to set Autumn Winter 07 to be the root and get show only items below that to the end user. The other items should be inaccessible. I get the feeling that the old items may need to come back to life in the future at some point. I have thought about backing up the DB then clearing it out, but this wouldn't really be flexible enough.

I have been experimenting with the application_top.php and trying to see how the breadcrumbs are built, and know it relates to the first cPath too....I'm almost there but not quite understanding what needs to be done to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Matt
