Page Error after resizing left infobox...

I changed the left infobox from 125 to 160 and now I get this error across the top..

'&products_id=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])); } } // initialize the message stack for output messages require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'message_stack.php'); $messageStack = new messageStack; // set which precautions should be checked define('WARN_INSTALL_EXISTENCE', 'true'); define('WARN_CONFIG_WRITEABLE', 'true'); define('WARN_SESSION_DIRECTORY_NOT_WRITEABLE', 'true'); define('WARN_SESSION_AUTO_START', 'true'); define('WARN_DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY_NOT_READABLE', 'true'); ?>

I know where it says that in the file, but I never touched it. Here is the whole set of lines...

// add the products model to the breadcrumb trail

if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) {

$model_query = tep_db_query("select products_model from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " where products_id = '" . (int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "'");

if (tep_db_num_rows($model_query)) {

$model = tep_db_fetch_array($model_query);

$breadcrumb->add($model['products_model'], tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, 'cPath=' . $cPath .'&products_id=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id']));

}

}

// initialize the message stack for output messages

require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'message_stack.php');

$messageStack = new messageStack;

// set which precautions should be checked

define('WARN_INSTALL_EXISTENCE', 'true');

define('WARN_CONFIG_WRITEABLE', 'true');

define('WARN_SESSION_DIRECTORY_NOT_WRITEABLE', 'true');

define('WARN_SESSION_AUTO_START', 'true');

define('WARN_DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY_NOT_READABLE', 'true');

?>

Can anybody tell me what happened? I dont see anything wrong with it but Ive been looking at this for awhile, fresh eyes on the outside helps... Thanks in advance.

How did you change the width?

I editted the php the same way Ive done everything else. I originally changed it to 150, uploaded it and it wasnt big enough, went with 160 and then there was that coding across the top of the page. Its weird, I didnt touch anything else.

It's possible that you have a <? where there should be a <?php with a PHP setting of short_open_tags off.

This would mean that PHP wont parse the code and will just print it to screen.

look in your catalog/includes/application_top.php

in mine, line 58 is where the column widths are, and line 498 is where that code is, compare yours to mine and see if you can see a difference that Im overlooking. I copy and pasted it directly from the code, so thats exactly how it looks for me.

It's either what I said before or you have closed PHP ?> before that statement, either way it is not being parsed as PHP.

Can we see the code around there.

This is line 489-522 then end of the page.

This is line 37-66, I editted line 59 and it somehow messed with the other.

// define the project version

define('PROJECT_VERSION', 'osCommerce 2.2-MS2');

// set the type of request (secure or not)

$request_type = (getenv('HTTPS') == 'on') ? 'SSL' : 'NONSSL';

// set php_self in the local scope

if (!isset($PHP_SELF)) $PHP_SELF = $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['PHP_SELF'];

if ($request_type == 'NONSSL') {

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG);

} else {

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG);

The code where you made the edit looks ok. What happens if you change it back to 150? What are you using to edit the file?

If you listened to the advice that has been given rather than keep posting long lines of code for others to sort out your problems for you you may get further. :angry:

// add the products model to the breadcrumb trail

if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) {

$model_query = tep_db_query("select products_model from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " where products_id = '" . (int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "'");

define('WARN_SESSION_DIRECTORY_NOT_WRITEABLE', 'true');

define('WARN_SESSION_AUTO_START', 'true');

define('WARN_DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY_NOT_READABLE', 'true');

AND you have managed to chop out some important code it should look like below

// add the products model to the breadcrumb trail
if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) {
$model_query = tep_db_query("select products_model from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " where products_id = '" . (int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "'");

Also in your first post you said ..

That wasted everyones time as the code you posted was clean code and not the code of your site.

The code at the end of the file is repeated (shown in red) - how did that happen?

That wasnt the problem. Coopco caught what I was overlooking. Thanks for trying though.

Yes it was the problem, that is why the script was kicking code.

And it was there because of what Coopco pointed out.
