HarrisKhaliq Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/marients/public_html/osc/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. i keep getting that ive chmod it to 777 still same error at the top of my site.
germ Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I'm no "osC 'guru'". The permissions should be 644. If that doesn't work, try 444. Note that '444' makes it "read only" even for you. And I wouldn't use FTP for this. It fails most of the time. Login and use the Control Panel provided by your Web Host (NOT OSC!). If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
