First try at making an oscommerce template, kept it kind of simple

I noticed in order to really change the look of the software I might have to make edits to the main files such as index.php etc, the files in the root of the installation, is that just how its done on other templates?

Where are the corner_right.gif and corner_right_left.gif located in the osc program. I changed the color of the headers but the endcaps need to be changed also.

there is a folder in the "images" folder called "infobox" where the corners are

I found that there is a folder:

/catalog/includes/langauges/.....

Is this redundant?? Can I delete it??

 

 

Remember the standard OS Commerce folder is:

/catalog/includes/languages/....

Blue-Hex-Template

 

But looking at your readme files there is:

"3. Open up the includes folder and upload the header.php , footer.php, column_left.php and column_right.php to the includes folder. "...

 

But in the includes folder the 2 column files are missed.

 

Then, about big blue image, is it yours?

Is it possible to have the original file to try to make some gradient/color modifications?

that might just be a mistake on the readme, as I modified the default install more I made changes to those files, but this being the first one I designed you might no have to change them

I love the template, How do you change the main container (not the blue background image) colour? It is now Grey, and I cannot find this in the stylesheet at all! I would like to make the entire main container white.

its probably an image as the background, look in the images folder at the images with "bg" in their file name

Sometimes after changing the stylesheet in order to see any change you have to hold the <Ctrl> key down while doing a page refresh in the browser to force the browser to reload all contents from the server, including the newly changed stylesheet.

 

This works with IE and Firefox.

 

And just for the record:

 

// background: #034679;

Is invalid syntax.

 

If you wanted to comment it out it would be:

 

/* background: #034679; */

But if you do that there will be no more borders in FF (again).
