Hello guys,

currently all the product images are locate in the images folder. I would like for the product images to be store in a separate directory called "Photos ". How can I change the default location for the product images?

BTW I'm using oscommerce-2.2rc2a

Thanks

I am wanting to do the same thing. I have over 300 product images and one day, I am afraid I will overwrite some image that's used for my style.

The simplest way to do this is to use Easy Populate.

EP will allow you to specify a path for your images (within the images directory though), so you can have subfolders.

So you might have a directory structure like:

images/tshirts/

images/caps/ etc etc.

It is possible to have all product images in a completely separate directory, but requires recoding a number of things in your store.

Hope that helps.

I forgot to mention - you will need to physically upload your images to those directories using FTP software rather than the Admin's images input though, but for what it offers, that is no real problem for most.

Many clients of mine use EP exclusively and rarely use the admin for product input/update at all.

The default image location folder is set in configure.php

That is correct, but he they want to set the image directory for products only.

Simply renaming it and updating configure.php does not solve their problem.
