dennisuello Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I am wanting to do the same thing. I have over 300 product images and one day, I am afraid I will overwrite some image that's used for my style.
shooter-boy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The simplest way to do this is to use Easy Populate. EP will allow you to specify a path for your images (within the images directory though), so you can have subfolders. So you might have a directory structure like: images/tshirts/ images/caps/ etc etc. It is possible to have all product images in a completely separate directory, but requires recoding a number of things in your store. Hope that helps. Rob Rob Bell - Inspired Graphix Customising osCommerce in Australia, and the world! View my profile for web and email links. shooter-boy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I forgot to mention - you will need to physically upload your images to those directories using FTP software rather than the Admin's images input though, but for what it offers, that is no real problem for most. Many clients of mine use EP exclusively and rarely use the admin for product input/update at all. Rob Rob Bell - Inspired Graphix Customising osCommerce in Australia, and the world! markg-uk Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The default image location folder is set in configure.php
shooter-boy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The default image location folder is set in configure.php That is correct, but he they want to set the image directory for products only. Simply renaming it and updating configure.php does not solve their problem. Rob Rob Bell - Inspired Graphix Customising osCommerce in Australia, and the world!
