jeffuk123 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Hello I am trying to backup the database. I am new to OScommerce and trying to learn by checking out the website and support forums, although i'm beginning to feel that OScommerce is more hassle than its worth. It seems that just about every configuration requires checking through the forum. Anyway, I have created a folder in the root of admin called backups. I then added the following line to the includes\configure.php file:- define('DIR_FS_BACKUP', DIR_FS_ADMIN . 'backups/'); I have uploaded the changes to the webhost Permissions on the backup folder are set to 777 Yet the following error still shows:- "Error: Backup directory does not exist. Please set this in configure.php" Please can anyone help with this? Many thanks, Jeff
germ Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Did you add it to your /admin/includes/configure.php file, or the catalog one? Needs to be in the admin one. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
