blank/null attribute

hi

 

i am running a wholesalers cart, and currently have my store setup so attributes are for size, and the dropbox for quantity to order. ie for attribute medium, the options would be 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 - with 0 as the default.

but when the customer decides they want 0 quantity of a particular size, oscommerce still passes the attribute thru to the cart. is there a way that if they leave it at zero, the cart just ignores the attribute all together.
