Hello all/somebody/anybody,

I am trying to get a new website up & running (my first) & have hit some problems. It has been set up by a busy IT person who hasn't time to fix these odd problems (and can't in the couple of minutes he has available) so I'm trying to learn to do it myself in big gulps so I can start selling and driving traffic.

1. When I add pictures in the OS Commerce admin area to my products, they don't come up on the site. I have set up the sizes etc. and they are visible on the admin side.

2. When I tried to add "Terms & Conditions" & "Privacy policy" the website would show the text only if I added a few lines. If I tried to load it all the web page would come up blank. The "shipping" module loaded up fine.

3. The OS Commerce shopping cart has been modified to look the same as my web pages (narrower than full page). When SSL is enabled on the "My Account" and "Checkout" pages it works fine. With SSL disabled on the catalog pages, the top graphics stay the same and the rest of the pages sprawl out over the whole page. When SSL is disabled completely on the site by the host everything comes into place again.

4. When the web host adds or takes away code for SSL I can't see what has been added or taken away because it doesn't show on the "Configure php" file that I can see, which appears to have nothing entered in those fields, ie. they are somehow not active.

I list all these problems because I think they are related - it's almost like there are two sets of code and the one I'm looking at doesn't do any thing except in a few places.

Can someone fill the gap/s in my understanding please.

Thanks

The site's been fixed!

I thought it would never happen but the config.file had to have a major work-over. Don't worry to answer this one in case anyone starts using precious time.

Thanks anyway.

:D :D :D

Before anyone spends time replying, the problem was fixed by my website designer. Required a major overhaul to the config. files I think. :D
