joongpark
Nice clean site but still looks too much like stock oscommerce. Please try most recent 2 contribution for new buttons and new category images. That will help you get out of stock oscommerce look. Otherwise...I like it. easy one the eyes and easy to browse. rseigel
What's to comment on? Just a stock osCommerce install (right down to the color scheme) except for the Specials box in the middle with broken pics. Ohhh....and you've removed the osCommerce copyright notice without changing the layout thus violating Harald's copyright.
joongpark
Use some contributions to change the look and you might want to disable category picture...they are cute but it's taking up a whole page. big turn off for customers.
legendr34
yea my goal was to keep it clean and simple to read...since i liked the general color of the stock OSC site, i decided to use it =)
rubygirl
I think it looks great - sometimes I'm a little surprised by some of the responses regarding new sites - i mean come on, some sites are going to knock your socks off and others may not - but if everyone could remember that not everyone building a site with oscommerce is a code junky - people might be able to appreciate the effort that goes in to the site - no matter how simple the design - for some just installing it is a challenge and when it actually works they are thrilled - so I say - great job on the site - you installed it, added your products and personalized it - good for you! My only suggestion would be to reduce your specials to either 2 columns or shrink the size of the images so in a 800x600 screen you don't have some much of a scroll on the bottom. Great job! just my 2 cents
mattice
And I'd remove the snowflaky bits.. seems you don't really want your customers to dissapear to dynamicdrive.com just because they're sad enough (like me, I know) and click the snowflakes about.. Oh.. and as rseigel pointed out before.... although you might like the stylesheet as is it still is Harald's (osCommerce Main Dude) copyright as explained in the actual file where you removed his copyright: /* The following copyright announcement can only be appropriately modified or removed if the layout of the site theme has been modified to distinguish itself from the default osCommerce-copyrighted theme. For more information please read the following Frequently Asked Questions entry on the osCommerce support site: http://www.oscommerce.com/community.php/faq,26/q,50 Please leave this comment intact together with the following copyright announcement. */ So Copyright ? 2002 Abysstek is a violation... But the special center is nice. Mattice "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"

Guest
Well done setting up your site: Some questions and possible improvements: 1) Do you have company colours? If so - change your stylesheet.css to meet that 2) How many products do you envisage to sell? Is it all IT or will there be software, services etc? If so - maybe have different colour schemes for the different areas of product or services. Work with those two for now and you can only get your site to improve! If you need any help - ask any of the people on the board (including myself) we all are in this project together to help one another! *PS - dont take any criticism from any of us to heart - we are only helping you!*
