Ultimist Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I am currently using ebay's Prostores as my ecommerce solution, and it is all right, but I wouldn't call it "Pro" anything. I'm dissatisfied with many of its features (or lack thereof). I am thinking of switching to osCommerce, but I have a few questions first. One feature of Prostores that I love is the product inventory import capability. I can fix up a csv file containing html enhanced descriptions, manufacturer info, image url's, etc, for thousands of products... and then easily upload it to prostores, instantly creating a store full of hundreds or thousands of products. Can something similar be done with oscommerce, or must I enter the products one at a time? I currently offer over 1400 products, so I definitely need a quick and easy way to upload all my products. If I have to do it one at a time, I might as well forget it. My other question is about PayPal. I know that oscommerce works with standard PayPal, but does it also work with PayPal Website Payments Pro? Any help on these matters will be greatly appreciated.
smiley Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Search in contributions for Easy Populate. :thumbsup: It will add 300 products, prices, descriptions etc in 1 upload. You can ftp images to the images directory & reference these in Easy Populate. As for "PayPal Website Payments Pro" search in contributions. I have used PayPal IPN with success.
