Username addon not sending emails if passw is forgotten

I installed the username addon. Now I noticed that no emails are being send if a customer request for it on the password_forgotten.php page.

I thought it had something to do with the modification of that file; I installed Fast Easy Checkout. But after reading the descriptions for the packages on contribution page, I concluded that it is just something that needs to be fixed. Also, I was trying to get this to work a little different and have the customer submit their email address to request a new password. Some one might also forget their username for the shop and then he's left with no other option but the contact page. So I would like to have the username and a new password send out in an email after the customer submitted the email address that is in the database. Can anyone offer me any help with this? I've uploaded the password_forgotten page from a vanilla osc and I'm trying desperately to get it to do exactly that wich I've just mentioned... No luck yet. :(
