thewitt Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 So what do you do to modify an order once it's placed? Why would you do that? You can only ship a partial order and the customer does not want the balance shipped - or you treat them as two different orders, since you cannot bill a credit card for anything that you cannot immediately ship. You can reduce the customer's shipping costs by combining orders (we have customers who regularly place multiple orders before we have shipped their first order). The customer calls and increases or decreases the quantity of something ordered, or wants to add another item to an order that has not yet shipped. The order contains an item that is not priced yet - like a customization that requires a quote before the order is actually completed and shipped. We do all of these things today, and can track none of them with OSC. Any suggestions? I've seen the single contribution that addresses this, and may start there if there are no alternatives. -t
