Ifolo Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 When i go to admin i am promted for user password. But i still see this on the main admin page You are not protected by a secure SSL connection. Anyone have any ideas?
Guest Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 You need to purchase and install and SSL certificate before your admin is secured by SSL. If you do have an SSL cert you need to make changes to your configure.php file so it knows you have the certificate.

germ Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 And (providing you have SSL) you need to access it (your Admin) using SSL from the "get-go". That is access your Admin using your "secure" URL (https:/www.yourstore.com/admin for example). If you don't, your very first contact with the admin (username and password) are NOT protected by SSL. Personally, I have the SSL URL to my admin saved it my "favorites", and always use it. ;) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. What exact changes should be made? thanks in advance! I am a Jedi, like my father before me!
