i'm having a problem with sales tax and the order total. i have ccgv installed as well.

my order total is as is:

Discount Coupons 3 Info

Gift Vouchers 4 Info

Low Order Fee Info

Shipping 5 Info

Sub-Total 1 Info

Tax 2 Info

Total 6 Info

Sub-Total: $149.99

CA TAX 8.25%: $12.37

United Parcel Service (XML) (1 pkg, 17 lbs total) (UPS Ground, 2008-03-12): $15.00

Total: $178.60

my problem is the total is coming out wrong. the total is adding the sub-total + shipping & then taxing that. i need it add the sub-total to the tax on the sub-total and then add the shipping. the order total for this example should be $149.99 + 12.37 + 15.00 = $177.36. It shouldn't be $149.99 + $15.00 + $13.61 (149.99 + 15)*.0825 = $178.60

or maybe it's just showing up wrong on the administrative side where the orders are because when i'm checking out everything seems to be in order.

so furthermore through paypal it's showing the difference as "Order Total Discrepancy".

Discount Coupons 4 Info

Gift Vouchers 5 Info

Low Order Fee Info

Shipping 3 Info

Sub-Total 1 Info

Tax 2 Info

Total 6 Info

Make sure that you have tax class set to none in your shipping module, or tax will be added for shipping.

check your ups xml service setup. it looks like you charge tax on shipping.

One thing we found early on, was the tax is worked out on each product (including rounding), then totalled up. Where as for us, we wanted a total and then sales tax added (including rounding). It only makes a few cents difference on the order total, but it may account for some of your error?

Just a thought.
