Phr33x Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I would be so grateful for any assistance here: I would like to set up multiple shipping zones within the one country, each with their own shipping costs. Weight is not really relevant. To elaborate - my country is Australia, which has the country code 'AU'. The zones are broken down into areas within Australia, such as "Sydney Metropolitan Area", Melbourne Metropolitan Area, Regional and Country Areas, and so on. Each of these zones have been allocated Zone IDs, such as SMA, MMA, RCA etc. When I configure the Zone rates module, it refers to Zone 1 Countries, Zone 2 Countries etc. and requires the 2 character ISO code for the country, not the three character ISO code for the zones. To my understanding, this means that I can only allocate shipping charges based on Country - not zones within the country. Am I missing something? The answer is probably staring me in the face but I just can't sort this out. Which contribution would achieve this? Or is the solution much simpler? Regards...
csaxvik Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 There is something close at http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/818 but we have to input all the "states/provinces" in longhand when they are already in the system. I too am wondering why actual "zones" cannot be used in the included zone rates module instead of the country codes. It would be so much more flexible. Can anyone help here? maybe we are missing something.
