Guest Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I have notice a few site I have been on lateley have a small image in the address bar, just before the http://. Does anyone know if this is possible with osc. If so. How would I go about it. I know it is just a little cosmetic thing but I think it looks cool! Thanks in advance
FIMBLE Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Its called a favicon you need to create an icon and name it favicon.ico and place it in your root directory Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
jhande Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I thought they were neat too  It's called a "favicon.ico" and it is stored in the root directory, such as the catalog folder. To create one you have to get yourself a free program such as PixelToolbox. There's other free programs available, I chose PixelToolbox for some of the neat functions, features and ease of use. Guest Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Thanks for the help. I have done what you said but the icon does not appear. Am I missing something?
