Worthy1 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Two night ago my shopping cart which has 70,000 hits was completely deleted with all the products, reviews and customer information. I had my oscommerce installed in October 2007 by someone through the C-panel. This was part of the comments that was displayed on my page two nights ago. ------------------------------------------------ STORE AUTO-RESET CODE: 66787265789 Your store was reset. Please see the email sent to the account on file for details. Several pages or sections of this store will remain intact as they were not included in the reset. This is a default setup of the osCommerce project, products shown are for demonstrational purposes, any products purchased will not be delivered nor will the customer be billed. Any information seen on these products is to be treated as fictional. ------------------------------------------------ Is this normal behavior with oscommerce, to reset itself? Could this have happen by a hacker? How can this be made sure that it won't happen again? I can't find any answers. I would really appreciate some help in this matter.

My hosting company had a month old backup which wasn't completely bad, but I did lose a lot of products. Not to mention customer information. I learned my lesson, but I want to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
