Search function and Countries.

Hi,

 

Looking for a contribution that helps removing special characters when a customer makes a search at the webshop,

for example if a person searches for: "#binocular" only "binocular" should be searched for. Does such a contrib. exist?

 

Also I did remove all the countries but one upon installation, now I want to add a few of them back so that customers can chose other countries from the drop down menu (country list), I have tried and add countries and the country codes in admin but they still don't display in the drop down menu in the shop.
