I've just install oscommerce and got the successfully installed message. However, when I click on the administration button I get the following message:

 

1146 - Table 'xxxxxxx.administrators' doesn't exist

 

select id from administrators limit 1

 

[TEP STOP]

 

I have no idea what this means or how to resolve it. Can anyone help?

I just installed the 2.2rc2a version and I was getting the same message when trying to access the administration area. I added the administrators table to my database (because it apparently wasn't there) and checked login.php to get the fields (id, user_name, and user_password) to enter my information into. Don't enter anything into the fields yet! Go back to the admin directory and it should give you an opportunity to create an administrator username and password. Then it makes you put it in again and your in!
