register_globals error in Paypal Express Checkout

"Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory."

 

 

I uploaded a php.ini file enabling register_globals to my catalog folder, still this error shows whenever using paypal express in payment checkout.

 

I even went further to upload same file to all folders leading up to payment folder hoping this would fix the problem. It did not.

 

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Much appreciated, thanks

I forgot to mention that I installed Paypal Express from Admin Panel.

well, i have found the solution. here it is for future reference:

 

I copied the php.ini file in all folders of EXT Folder leading up to Payment folder. Works fine now.
