webman30 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I have a client who uses OS Commerce and his old webmaster is logging into his os commerce cart and messing with things. He wants to change the password on it. I have been trying to figure it out but cannot do it. Can anyone help me with this. I have never even seen Os commerce before today.
♥geoffreywalton Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Depends if he is logging on to a customer account or as an admin user. It also depends if osc uses admin user names and passwords to secure the site. You could change the password on the customer record in the customer table or the admin password in the administrators table (using phpmy admin, see below) or change the password securing the admin directory (ask your ISP how to do this through their admin panel). Have you changed all the password this guy knew about already? 1) Go to your ISPs admin area for your site. 2) Click on the icon for Mysql, then find the link for phpmyadmin, it might be hidden away at the bottom but not on all admin sites. If you can’t find this, please consult your ISP's help desk. 3) In some cases, you may have to choose which database your OSC tables are located on. If this is the case, please choose using the dropdown box.
