WebMinx Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 While shopping ...on Order # 814 ..customer(A) was trying to purchase a black skirt...but customer(B) kept changing it to a yellow skirt. Customer(A) was very concerned about our website because if she had not called us we would have sent the product to customer(B). Customer(A) then sent a new order # 815 which is accurate. Does anyone have any insight into why this may have occured and how I can fix it?
web-project Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 you can validate each session using browser, IP address or simply use the cookie. If you go to oscommerce admin panel --> Sessions --> Check SSL Session ID set to True Check User Agent set to True Check IP Address set to True Recreate Session set to False Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
WebMinx Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 I thought it was fixed but it's not. Now when I customer comes to shop, they click checkout and it says their cart is empty. Okay....I changed things to: Force Cookie Use to False Check SSL Session ID set to True Check User Agent set to True Check IP Address set to True Recreate Session set to False and it's working but I wonder if the problem will happen again?
