Who actually has these set up to test their OSC before uploading??? The way I've done it so far is to edit -> upload -> check -> edit again, upload etc etc. It was ok to start with but now that we are getting a decent amount of visitors its not very professional to change while live. I tried setting up IIS but no such luck! Its become a bit of a pain now.

 

if anyone has a test server set up can they give me some tips on setting my own one up?

To do it on your computer try EasyPHP or Xampp. I have EasyPHP on the computer and then have a couple of test domains also which are live on the internet. Setting up another full domain name you will want to think about if you want the SE's to index it or not. If you do want another full domain live then look at reseller packages from your web host. They usually are just a few bucks more but will give you the chance to test on several sites.
