adding fields to credit card module

hi there

 

I am currently using the standard credit card module that comes with oscommerce on my site but the only data that it captures is credit card number and expiry date of the card. This is not enough information to process the orders so I need to be able to either add some extra fields to the module or find a new module that will allow me to collect info for all of the following:

 

Card Number

Expiry date

Valid from date (if applicable)

Issue number

And security code

 

If anyone could help that would be great. I have looked in the cc.php file in the payment modules folder so is it possible to edit this file to add the fields?
