timeless Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Hi folks! I have been trying to get either the Paypal IPN or Standard modules to work. I get as far as doing a test purchase. Everything seems to work up until I hit the "Confirm Order" button. I get taken to Paypal sandbox... I login, then choose the buyer account and login again. No new activity shows up. I never get taken to a page asking for form of payment... Visa, Mastercard, paypal or whatever. Just get taken to the sandbox... What am I doing wrong??? Either I have the module configured wrong in my oscommerce admin, or I have my business account setup wrong in the sandbox OR Both. Let's start with the Paypal Standard module config settings. Maybe someone can tell me if they are correct or problematic. Enable Paypal Website Payments Standard = True Paypal seller email = [email protected] (Same as sandbox seller) Payment Zone = left it blank Preparing Order Status = Preparing Paypal IPN Paypal Acknowledge Order Status = Default Gateway Server = Sandbox Transaction Method = Sale Page Style = Paypal Debug Email = [email protected] Sort Order = 1 Enable Encrypted Payments = Yes My Private Key = http://www.mystore.com/folder/paypal/prvkey.pem My Public Certificate = http://www.mystore.com/folder/paypal/prvkey.pem PayPals Certificate = http://www.mystore.com/folder/paypal/paypal_cert_pem.txt My PayPal ID = 3XXXXXXXXX4E6 Working Directory = /tmp OpenSSL Location = /usr/bin/openssl Are they settings even remotely correct??? Thought if I get these right then I can move onto creating a new seller and make changes if need be. Would greatly appreciate some help. Quote
web-project Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 My Private Key = http://www.mystore.com/folder/paypal/prvkey.pem My Public Certificate = http://www.mystore.com/folder/paypal/prvkey.pem PayPals Certificate = http://www.mystore.com/folder/paypal/paypal_cert_pem.txt My PayPal ID = 3XXXXXXXXX4E6 Working Directory = /tmp if you read the manual I can bet you it should be path to certificate NOT the URL. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. timeless Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/style_emotico...lt/thumbsup.gif I am happy to report that I have success. My oscommerce settings are correct and so are my pp sandbox settings. Silly me... It helps to read the guide on how to use the sandbox, especially the part about to test a purchase. Now I know what that silly big blue box is for. I'll help those of you who are wading through all this setting stuff tomorrow after I do a live test on my site. I also found a helpful site that will easily generate the certificates for you for free. I spent days trying to wade through all this... I will be pleased to help save others hours of frustration by posting what I did after my live test tomorrow. To everyone else who has posted to osc I give big hugs and thanks!!!!! Quote
