Guest Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I just installed os Commerce, and I get the following message at the top of the screen: "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/22612/domains/url.com (this has been changed) /html/url (this too)/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file." I went to that file on the server and changed permissions from 755 to 644 with no change. I then changed it to 444 with no success at all. I blew out the cache, I'm still getting the message. Is this possibly a different type of write access it's talking about? Thanks, bit182
♥Vger Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 To make certain that the file permissions are actually being changed try using the File Manager in your web hosting control panel. You can also try reducing permissions to 400. Vger
