editing product_info.php

I need more help!

 

I want to take the header out of my product info page. I also want to delete the "this product was added...." line.

 

Every time I make a change to the shop/product_info.php file the picture of my product also disappears. I have commented out the header.php display, using either // or /*. The header goes away, but so does my picture. I've done the same for the "this product was...." line, with the same results.

 

Also, when I go back to delete the changes that I've made (returning the file to it's original form), the whole page gets eaten from my site. I have to upload the original file all over again.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?
