Guest Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hello there everyone, I have a small problem and I'd really appreciate a little oscommerce advise. I've just installed OSCOMMERCE using the download located on this site. I'm in the process of setting up the shop. I can pretty much figure out everything there is to do but I'm having trouble locating the ability to edit the front page. How do we go about this? Also, do I have to enable / pay for a production version of oscommerce, or does the default front page declaring that the site is a demonstration purely there as a pointer to say that the site has not been configured? Any help will be greatfully recieved! Thanks all!
iceblood Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Neil, I suggest you read this topic here http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=139426 In that there are some good contribs, one that allows you to edit the front page from the admin area. Also you should read the EULA, in short what it says is you can remove all OSC logos from the site except for the header of the admin area.
Astroo Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I had the same problem for a little while. There are a few files that you do this through. From your ...includes/ folder there are column_left.php, column_right.php, header.php, and footer.php. Then for the actual page content go the...includes/languages/english folder and there is an index.php.
