Database Server: localhost (or IP; consult your hosting co.)

Username: authorized user for db

Password: password for above

Database Name: whatever you want it to be (would normally be something like: _my_domain_door)

Yeah I knew that but I need someone to use fake names or something and put it just like they had thiers...

What your telling does not help...I read the manual... and understand it but its not working.

I need someone to actually put either the ip or the domain.com or www.domain.com or db1.domain or whatever they put....

Just put a fake on instead so I know excately what to put for each one...

I know with my host the following applied:

Database Server: localhost

User name was: username (This is the main username that is issued to you at host signup, typically)

Password: Password for username

Database name: Name of database in mySql: username_dbname

Maybe this will help.

I tried what you said and nope....got this....

There was a problem connecting to the database server. The following error had occured:

Access denied for user 'rocker'@'echo.websitewelcome.com' (using password: YES)

Please verify the connection parameters and try again.

This is crazy ...I did it before with another site and i dont remeber what I did to make it work.

Did you go into mySql and make sure to give access to the username you are wanting to use?

This, I think, should be the solution. If that was your server response that means that it is seeing the database, but you just don't have access to it.

Maybe this will solve the problem.

I don't who you use for hosting, but I am assuming it is a shared host, and that can create some interesting login information. I would give them a shout and see what they have to say.
