gazza72 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Hey guys, I have spent the past 3 days building an oscommerce store and it looks stunning, but I have ran into a big problem When I go to www.mystore.com/admin I can log straight in The system does not ask for a username or password This as you know is a very serious security risk My store is on a linux platform, i am running the very latest version of oscommerce, and database etc Can anybody offer advice or do I need to start all over again ?

My guess is that you have a template that is an older version of OSC. The very latest does secure the admin. You will have to set a password on your admin directory by using your webhosts control panel filemanager.

auro Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 If your webhost use Cpanel you can protect the admin folder with "Password Protect Directories".
