jamesblackburn Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Hi, I am working on the new version of OsCommerce 2.2 RC2 to get a site live for our company. I have hit a snag at the first hurdle with regards to pricing. The gross cost is not being displayed correctly in admin but the correct price does show on the catalog side. Has anyone come across this at all? I have set up takes correctly so I am thinking this is a bug. Regards James

Ok I have set the site up with the following: UK currency VAT 17.5% added Zones added to the VAT tax Basically I have set everything up as it should be but on the admin page the tax does not calculate correctly in the gross field on the product admin. I have even added a new product and it does not work. Does this help?

When I add a product in admin, I set the net price, have my tax zone set and osc calculates the gross. I then hit preview and update. So, in yours, is the calculated gross correct before you hit preview?

So, in yours, is the calculated gross correct before you hit preview? It calculates the gross incorrectly on the admin side. For example if I put in £4.25 it says the gross is £11.6875.

If I do this then the gross is calculated as 9.5625 when it should be 4.99. I have to say it is only the gross which is not calculating correctly on the admin side, the prices show correctly on the catalog side.

Beats me. 4.25*1.175=4.9935 <== correct figure 4.25*2.75=11.6875 same as 4.25*1.175=7.437+4.25=11.6875 <== this is the figure you said was in admin for the gross. The figures match very exactly. Maybe your default currency is still usd and admin is using that?

I have removed the USD as default currency, I even added GBP and deleted USD and have checked the SQL table to see if it still appears in there. It beats me totally. Thank you for your help though.

It beats me totally. Thank you for your help though. Just a long shot, did you make GBP value 1 in admin localization currencies. Probably an irrelevant post.

Ivanio Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I have exactly the same problem with net/gross prices. I'm using EUR currency and is set to 1 in currency rate. I have looked around all the code but don't find nothing strange... looks like all code for TAX calculation is good. no error. don't know what can it be Please any one can help us? thanks
sonictrip.net Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Might have something to do with Admin/Taxes/Tax Rates/Edit Tax Rate Have a look at the "priority" setting, it says: "Tax rates at the same priority are added, others are compounded."

One of them has numbered points, read the first 25 and amend english.php from USD to GBP. Normally prices display as zero when you change the default, but this might be it.
