Hi guys,

I'm trying to put together a site and had a question: how many parameters can I have per item? Let's say I'm selling clothes and there's the typical "color" option and "size" option. Could I also add others, such as "type of collar" or "color of buttons" or "thread color" and if so, how many of these could i add?

Thanks so much!

P.S. How would I do it that choosing a specific option, let's say red buttons, would result in an increase in the item's price by an x amount?

There's no physical limit (other than server limits) on the number of attributes. However, having a large number on the page would create a lot of work for the customer. That's not something you usually want to do.

Thank you, Jack.

How is it possible to add a price increase with the selection of specific attributes? (such as an extra $1 for anything over XL)

Cheers!

look under contributions under "product attributes". I am currently building a site that is using that contribution successfully, and it does just what you want - you can add a checkbox, radio button or other so the customer can select the option, and there is the abilty to add a price increase (or not) for every added option.

Thank you, Jack.
