Sethman Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 I've notice that when adding many categories your customers will not spend a lot of time looking for the proper one. Is there a contribution that will group categories and place a separating heading image above them? This would help tremendously for user navigation, but unfortunately I am not skilled enough in php to do it. Quote
Guest Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 i think what your asking oscommerce already does. If you put your catergories inside another catergory it will group them. So there for in your catergories menu you'll have '> Main Catergory' this can be highlighted as well. when someone clicks on it - it will take them to a page that lists all at cats inside - and on the left you'll get a list '> Main Catergory ->Sub cat 1 ->Sub cat 2 ->Sub cat etc Quote
Sethman Posted February 28, 2008 Author Posted February 28, 2008 Here is an example of what I mean exactly. Let's say I select the option to have a "header" after every 4 categories. I could then insert the image I want displayed after every 4 categories. This helps group categories for customers to navigate easier and faster - it's a conversion tactic. Quote
