Internal Server Error

I have installed Oscommerce on my host server which all went very smoothly on Friday, however today when i tried to log into my admin i am getting the following error:

 

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

 

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

 

Could you please help me to resolve this issue, i have looked at other forum topics but i do not totally undertsnad what has to be done to rectify this.
