remove what's new box failed HELP

i have read from other forum that to remove the "what's new" box, i just have to remove all the "HEADING_TITLE". i have done so, but still can't remove the box. please help!

Your looking in the wrong file

you need to find includes/column_left.php (Or right depending on where the box is)

Look for this

require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'whats_new.php');

Change it to this

//require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'whats_new.php');

And that will solve it

More likely, it need to be removed (commented out) from the includes/column_left.php or the includes/column_right.php

Delete entire Right Column

Change the width of Left Column

Nope, you guys are wrong..it's in the /catalog/index.php, but it's there twice..gotta comment out both instances. But, don't feel bad, the documentation (osCommerce 2.2 Milestone2, Update 05112) is also wrong in that it tells you to only comment out the first one.

Anybody know where we should report that so they can correct the docs, next time?
