Can anyone tell me if there is someway to edit the osCommerce web site without code? I use frontpage normally and don't really know php. Please Help! ;)

It is all code, but it is not a compiled code. You see it as text, and you use a text editor to edit. Frontpage belongs in the recycle bin.

Good question that does not have an answer. Mostly it is personal preference. Notepad will do, but it does not show line numbers (this is a must).

 

You can google for free ones.

 

I use ultraedit (which is not free) because I am used to it. I also use PHP Designer 2007 - Personal (free version). Others will recommend others.

Always backup your files and database before editing.

 

It would be beneficial to install wamp or xampp on your pc, install osc there, and use it as your deveopment server.
