Replace basic navigation with images

I know there is a contribution out there to replace the standard navigation on the top left with rollover images. This mod isn't going to work for me because I have a number of static images I need to stick in there as well.

 

Is there an easy way to replace the standard text that osCommerce spits out with static images that I've created?
