danielr Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I have just built my shop and want to add a SSL certificate. My host is www.one.com . I get a mixed response when i speak to them about it. They hint at there servers not supporting a SSL connection, I assume this is in relation to Apache. Do all servers support SSL now ? Any one else having problems with setting up a SSL with www.one.com ? thanks Danielr
Jack_mcs Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I'm not familiar with them but if they can't answer a simple ssl question you are probably going to have problems. SSL won't work with all servers, usually because the host isn't setup to handle them. For a private cert, you will need a private IP, which you get from your host. You will also need a csr file. If your host doesn't offer a control panel that allows you to create that file and can't answer your questions about it, I don't see how you can get it to work.
