Product weight won't go over 999grams

For some of my products that are over 1,000 grams it won't go to that amount, instead it says 999 grams. If I input say 1,250 grams and hit save it'll be 999 grams.

 

Why is it doing this? Is it because of the update of SQL to 5.0?

 

I'm hoping someone might know what to do so I can get this fixed ASAP because I'll be loosing money on my big orders.
