dchitwood Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I recently installed an SSL certificate on my site at http://dbestone.netfirms.com/store/catalog/. However, when I go to the login page I get a message stating that there are secure and non-secure items that appear on the page. Furthermore, the padlock does not appear on the bottom, right-hand corner of the page. I was told that I would need to make all of the pictures and scripts secure. What can I do to make everything secure? I am not a programmer, and I do not have much experience with php. I would appreciate some help. Thanks.
Jack_mcs Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 You were given incorrect information. The problem is almost always a non-secure link on the page. The link will be to some external web site. A common cause of this is google analytics code. Unfortunately, there is no sure-fire way to isolate the bad link. You just need to scour your page to find it. Sometimes, if you answer No to the question of if you want to continue, you can see the missing item that is causing the problem. The padlock should still appear, although it will be marked as broken. If you are using IE 7, the lock is at the top of the page.
