germ Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 If you've been using FTP to change permissions, STOP and login and use your sites Control Panel instead. FTP is notorious for NOT accomplishing this task. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. googlejunky Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I take it you are on a windows server. Try the last posters advice and if that doesn't work then use what I wrote below. Your problem was talked about and a few solutions figured out here Be sure to read all the way through the thread before trying anything. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=40084
germ Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Most likely NOT a Windows server. There's usually some sort of error message that appears when trying CHMOD on Windows.
